With the rapid development of infrared imaging technology, infrared imaging system plays an important role in military and civilian. Based on the actual requirement of military application of our country and the project "Study of cooled infrared imaging system circuit", this paper designs an infrared image processing system aiming at the purpose of miniaturization, low power consumption and real-time processing by utilizing the domestic cooled infrared focal plane array.This paper introduces the application of infrared imaging technology at home and abroad, analyzes the characteristics of infrared images and the factors influencing the quality of infrared image, discusses the image processing algorithm including non-uniformity correction, blind pixel replacement and image enhancement, these provide theoretical guidance for the design and development of the system.According to the characteristics of the detector and the infrared image and actual requirements of the project, this paper designs a hardware circuit aiming at the purpose of miniaturization and low power consumption by utilizing a field programmable gate array (FPGA), which includes detector driving circuit, analog signal conditioning circuit, A/D data acquisition circuit, digital signal processing circuit based on FPGA, video coding circuit, temperature measurement circuit and power supply circuit.Based on the hardware circuit and the algorithm module, this paper completes the non-uniformity correction, blind pixel replacement and image enhancement processing, gets the required infrared image.Finally, this paper completes the debugging and testing of the whole cooled infrared imaging system and gets the clear infrared images. Besides the infrared imaging system has the advantages of small volume, low power consumption and high signal processing speed, these basically reach the goal of the project requirements.
