The author discusses some key problems related to system performance in detail, including implementation ways of communication system, passband sampling method and synchronization. Next, the author analyses adoptable methods and corresponding performances of each module in transceiver's IF and baseband parts. By deducing the relation between the phase error of Costas loop and phase and frequency offset in DSSS system, the author designs and verifies a carrier recovery and tracking plan utilizing digital PLL and AFC. The MATLAB arithmetic description is similar to the arithmetic of digital signal processing of the communication system, so the simulation can verify the system design, especially the Decision and Tracking modules.ACEX10K is used as hardware device in the design, and Maxplus2 is used as software to edit VHDL file, compile, execute function simulation, time analysis and mapping. Because the DSSS system design is very complex, we adopted top-down design method. The data rate of the final system is up to 104KHz.
