| This thesis provides a study of the CAD application system design of SPMC (Shanghai Port Machinery Company) based on the characteristics of manufacturing and distribution, the flow and contents of technological work and the needs of product design of the company. With the analysis of the problems existing in the CAD application system of SPMC, the paper sets the general objective and basic routes of system design, together with its methodology and process. Specifically, acknowledging the large proportion of the manufacturing phase taken up by product design and the high pace of product renovation, the paper proposes establishing a CAD application system with CIPE method, which will shorten the design proportion of the manufacturing phase, swiftly develop and design new products of international standards, and significantly improve design efficiency. Besides, the paper ascertains the importance of employing PDM as SPMC's databank to better utilize the outcomes of CAD, such as drawings, documents and product statistics, with regard to the high variety, volume and technical demand of SPMC's productsThe thesis pays full attention to the integration of theories and engineering practices, as well as the specific situation of SPMC itself, thus having considerable value of technical application and significance in both theory and practice. |
