APON System In The Optical Network Terminal ( ONT ) Physical Medium And High-level Design Study On Speech Detection System

ONT in APON system is an intelligent wide band network terminal appliance, which can make the fiber come to house. It has the function like set-top-box, which is located at home and has interface with all kinds of service appliances, such as TV, telephone , computer and so on.This paper originated from the high-tech project of Jiangsu province and its CODE is BG2001046.The paper bring forward the functional block schematic of realizing the whole ONT in APON based on the network model of B-ISDN and the specification ofTC--ITU-T G.983.1 and the paper make a decision on how to realizing every part ofthe ONT according to the specific conditions. Finally the paper put forward the whole realizing scheme which is fulfilling the TC layer with FPGA - ATM layer with a chip of FireStream?55G and system bus between the AAL layer and the application service with DSP and with DSP, meanwhile finished the demonstrating and designing.Besides, in order to test the function of the whole ONT. this paper advanced the testing scheme with voice service as a special example and how to realizing it with the software and hardware of the DSP system, what's more, the simulant testing experiment has been finished on the DSP system.
