As a GPOS(General Process Operate System ), Windows Operating System has many excellent peculiarities, such as abundant graphical interfaces, multithreading, the strong stability and security, etc. So it is widely applied in the computer control field. This paper introduces the theory and method of real-time control software designed in the Windows Operating System.According to the difference of the kernel managing mode Windows Operating System can be divided into Windows 9x Operating System and Windows 2000/NT/XP Operating System. In the paper Windows 98 and Windows 2000 were researched into, a method of developing device Driver is developed by analyzing this two kernel managing modes. In the device Driver, a external Hardware interrupt was responded to, and the real-time task could be completed in the function of VGlobalEvent( Interrupt Delay Request) that is called in the Interrupt Serve Request(ISR). It has been proved that the real-time responding' ability could be advanced by developing the device Driver, and the real-time task could be primely completed. This paper discovers a new way in the research of real-time control, provids a firm foundation for advance research. It has great value both in academic research and practice.
