Jupiter Processor-based Embedded Gateway Study

The development of computer and network technology brings the profound technique evolution in control field. Networking and opening become the main trend of architectures of control system. However, the development of control network applied to lower layer of industrial network is relatively retarded compared with information network. It' s necessary to realize the amalgamation of control network and information network to monitor the production process remotely. The thesis brings forward a new control network structure to actualize the seamless conjunction of enterprise control network and information network.Based on the embedded microprocessor chip Jupiter, this paper introduces the application of embedded gateway in the domain of industry control system, emphasizes on the protocol translation and realizes the key device, embedded gateway, which carries out data switch between Ethernet network and local bus. And the tradition TCP/IP protocol has been greatly simplified to kernel part which reduces the requirement of system resources. Consequently, network connection on low price, slow speed, limited memory Micro Controller Unit becomes true.With the popularity of embedded system, a well-designed operating system has played an indispensable role. As an excellent open-source-code embedded operating system, uClinux meets the demand perfectly.
