Based On Linux Upnp Home Network

With the development of the computer and network technology , and intelligent electronical devices continually swarm into common people' s homes , the HomeNetwork that is called "integrated system about home electronical devices" by the exports will come forth before people in the 21th century.Universal Plug and Play is an architecture for pervasive peer-to-peer network connectivity of intelligent appliances, wireless devices, and PCs of all form factors. It is designed to bring easy-to-use, flexible, standards-based connectivity to managed networks or not whether in the home, in a small business, or public spaces.At first, this paper introduces the development of Homenetworking both in China and overseas, developmental trend , designed scheme about software and hardware , and its correlative protocol. In order to solve the interoperability of Homenetworking application, middleware technology is introduced to design Homenetworking application in this paper. Several middleware technologies, such as Jini, UPnP, Havi , and so on, are introduced simply . And according to the characteristics of those the UPnP is chosen as the solution to develop Homenetworking application .This paper analyses an example about UPnP that only suitable for Linux ,and brings forward some more improved opinions. At the end of paper, an experiment is designed to validate the feasibility about above opinions.
