Based On The Media Stream, Sip Multimedia Communication Platform And Platform

The SIP(session initiation protocol) suggested by the IETF(internet engineering task force) is the core protocol in the NGN's(next generation net) multimedia communication protocols. The SIP has the feature of open, flexible and extendibility as INTERNET. Furthermore, it inherits the features from the traditional telephone net. It is assured that the multimedia communication based on SIP will change the history of telephone communication. This paper provides a detailed analysis in the performance of media, and investigates the capability of the media stream under the platform based on SIP.First of all, this paper introduces the concept of the VOIP and the background of the multimedia platform, and then brings forward the issues in developing the communication platform. This paper also presents the function of the SIP and the detailed design of the multimedia platform, and then gives out the test results. Finally this paper investigates.the media stream and analyzes the test result, which indicates it is useful to our platform.In term of the performance of the multimedia platform, this SIP-based communication platform can support the one-to-one and two-to-one or more - to-more communications, and meets the request of the voice communication.
