Information hiding is a new branch of secret communication. Information hiding is used to convey information by making imperceptible changes to a host object. By embedding a secret message into a carrier image, a stego-image is obtained. Steganalysis simply aims to identify the presence or absence of the secret message. On the one hand, information hiding based on spatial domain is introduced and its theoretical model is discussed from the color space and the information theory two angles. Because only research on the LSB embedding is not enough to meet the hiding capacity, an approach based entropy is proposed in this paper. We make the quota, the qualitative analysis to the different bit position and appraise the result using the relation of entropy value and HVS. Experiment shows that the method based on entropy can hide data as much as possible and robustness remains as unchanged as possible. On the other hand, several steganalysis algorithms are discussed and their performance is compared in experiments. For visual attack can not make decision to all host images, so a new steganalysis algorithm based on the observation of the Laplacian filtering difference between host image and stego-image is presented. The detection of such scheme is based on threshold extracted by statistic rules. Experiment shows that the method can result in reliable detection of LSB steganography when embedding rate is large enough.
