CCD (Charge Coupled Devices) is divided into linear CCD and area arry CCD. The linear CCD is mainly used in spectroscopy analysis and small parameters measurement. The area arry CCD is mainly used to image acquisition. The parameters of CCD decide the performance and applications about CCD.CCD parameters-testing system is used to test a variety of CCD characteristic parameters. Through the parameter testing, the CCD's performance can be evaluated. Although this parameters-testing system is mainly designed for the linear array CCD KLI-2113 Which Kodak Company produced. Through changes in the corresponding timing will be able to fit in the testing of other types of CCD. This allows flexibility of the system has been enhanced at the same time has also been enhanced practicality. In this paper, the principle of CCD is narrated and the various characteristics of the CCD parameters are introduced, the testing methods of the relevant parameters are also analysed. In order to reduce thermal noise, the AD9816 is uesd which includes a correlated double sampling circuit inside. It is specifically designed for video processing chips. As to timing, programmable logic device is used to functional implementation. In addition, the functional modules must be initialized, including the CPLD programming download, integral timing settings, and register initialization etc. In order to facilitate data processing, VC + +6.0 and VC + +. Net are uesd to realize system interface. So that the test system is operated simply and the practicality has been greatly enhanced.Finally, In order to verify the function of the system, the linear CCD KLI-2113 has been tested, including the spectral response, dark signal voltage, dynamic range, saturation voltage, non-linear, response degree, light response nonuniformity. Compared the testing results with the Datasheet of KLI-2113, it shows that the all parts of parameters test system worked normally and the system has ahieved the anticipative purpose, and also complished the CCD parameter testing. The system is simple structured, easy to use and has a certain practical value.
