Campus Independent Study Support System Design And Implementation Of Network Courses

The technology of information and network makes great changes in people's lives and learning methods. Self-directed web learning is becoming more and more important. It has changed the traditional teaching methods, and it's feasible for us to study at any time and place. Therefore, it has become a social hotspot to develop learning resources and support systems on network. Since the Ministry of Education started the construction project of new century web courses in 1999, many net colleges and leading universities have set up their own web-based learning systems one after another; numerous professors, scholars and teachers also invest their researches on it. On the basis of vast literature searching, the author puts forward that the key to web-based learning is the development of self-directed web courses, and the key to develop the system lies in abundant learning resources, good communication mechanism and the effective design of learning evaluation.Based on the detailed analysis of current research situation, theoretical elements and features on self-directed learning and web courses, course study module, communication module, on-line testing module and service support module of computer curriculum are designed with the help of the technology of ASP.Net 2.0 within Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Access 2003, the structure and accomplishment of the former three modules are described as well. A support system on self-directed learning web course is accomplished, therefore students can learn by themselves under the guidance of teachers and teachers can be directly acquainted with the condition of student's learning and the management system.As long as the knowledge structure provided by this system is followed and the corresponding forum modules are customized, the self-directed learning system is applicable to the study of computer-related courses. It is true for any other courses.. This thesis makes an attempt on how to develop web-based learning effectively and lays the foundation for further research on it.
