With the great development of informationization,the potential danger in network security is becoming more and more obvious.It is revealed that the inner threat from LAN(Local Area Network)is more forceful than exterior through the authoritative organization's investigation.Therefore,the theory research and application in LAN security have been developing a new breakpoint.Printer monitor is the important part of the LAN Monitor System.With the rapid increase of various information and popularization of the information technology's application,the file mount through print is increasing at unprecedented speed.But the manage of the print is in the artificial phase at present and lacks for effective measure and tools.The research of printer monitor module in the thesis's discuss is just for the above problems.The printer monitor module takes charge of all printer monitor in the Lan Monitor System.Firstly,this thesis analyses elements and process of print.Secondly,the thesis puts forward several methods for print monitor,introduced the the advantages and disadvantage of the every method and decided to adopt the method of parsing spooler files and controlling printed job for printer monitor module in the LAN Monitor System.Then, the thesis designs the printer monitor module.At last,the thesis summarizes all the work and points out the prospect of the reseach.The thesis provides five methods of printer monitor as follows,(1) Using Windows API Monitor Methods.(2) Virtual Printer Driver Monitor Methods.(3) Intercept IPP Data Package Monitor Methods.(4) Send IPP Request Monitor Methods.(5) Parsing Spooler Files Monitor Methods.The thesis adopts the last method and then marks the module off five modules as follows,(1) Printer Information Chart Manage Sub-Module.(2) Control Printer Sub-Module.(3) Monitor Primary Thread Sub-Module. (4) Send Printer Information Sub-Module.(5) Middleware Watch Sub-Module.The Monitor Primary Thread Sub-Module is the main module in the Printer Monitor Mudule.
