With the development of the complexity of the application, the functional requirements of embedded software are more and more complex. In order to provide file system, network-based, multi-mission support and simplify the complexity of embedded software development, more and more 16bit, 32bit processor system consisting use of embedded OS. Such as remote environmental monitoring, embedded systems necessary to provide Internet access capabilities, so that users can easily use the Internet on the application of remote monitoring and control system. But CAN, RS232, RS485 and other traditional group, because of net radius is limited, it can not be directly get through to Internet. On the use of 32bit embedded processor systems, the design of the new capacity to provide Internet access is very easy, but it is difficult to constitute a 8bit processor embedded systems to provide Internet access as to the 32bit system. Re-designed system has a big development costs, and even at that time, adding new features meant to re-design a new system, which the users are unacceptable. In order to solve the above problems, for the truth that embedded systems have the UART interface generally, this article research based on Freescale's Coldfire family of 32bit processors MCF52235 and Micrium's real-time embedded operating systemμC/OS-II , embedded UART-Ethernet converter design. Main research contents include:1.μC/OS-II-II transplantation at MCF52235 processor;2. The design of the driver which related peripherals used in this study;3. Transplantation of LwIP atμC/OS-II-II with MCF52235 environment;4. The design of embedded WEB server based onμC/OS-II-II;5. UART-Ethernet converter functional test methods and test results. In this paper, it provide the system which is only support serial communication system of the existing embedded application system, the ability of getting though to the Internet. It has provided a low - cost solution for the existing system upgrade.
