| During the the management of campus network, the information in the network devices often needs to be collected and searched, and the configuration of the network devices needs to be altered. When there is plenty of information in the network devices the usual management becomes very difficult and complex, so the automatic management of the campus network becomes a universal requirement. This paper compares the Telnet protocol with the SNMP protocol, puts forward an application frame of the campus network management based on the Telnet protocol and database techology, and implements the frame by using the program.This paper includes the several main points:First, this paper analyses the main characteristics of handly Telnet mutual communiation and the system realizes automatical execution of the network device commands by adopting the program.Secondly, the system analyses and formatedly processes the execution results from the network device, and realizes the efficient management of plenty of information by using database technology.Finally, according to the need of managing network users, the system associates the interrelated information and reflects the users' information to the configuration of the network device.The system uses the Telnet protocol to communicate with the network device, executes the network device commands to obtain and alter the configuration of network devices, associates the users' information with the information of the network devices' configuration, and adopts database technology and data mining technology to enhance the efficiency of daily network management. The function that the system is able to alter the configuration of network devices lays the foundation of the automatic network management.This paper introduces the application of the Telnet protocol, database technology and socket programming in the system!, which uses VC++ to implement a minitype campus network management system. This paper also states some problems during realizing the system in detail. |
