Campus Network-oriented Software Design And Implementation Of The Monitoring System

With the development of computer networks, it has infiltrated all areas of human life. More and more businesses and organizations set up their critical business-related computer network system, in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The stability of computer network has become a top issue for technical staff and managers who using it. Therefore, the research of network monitoring technology has important practical significance.In this paper, the Xi'an University of Arts and Science campus network present situation is taken as research object, the actual work of campus network center is taken as the business needs, using the current mainstream network management protocols PING, TELNET, SNMP combination method, the design concepts of the campus network monitoring system is proposed which discovering problems by PING, SNMP, solving a problem with the TELNET. And the combination of database technology is used to manage the network equipment assets to ensure equipment safety.First, the network management technology of PING, TELNET, SNMP were briefly discussed; based on these techniques, the requirements of campus network monitoring system are analyzed in detail, and the overall design of the monitoring system is realized; and then the module development work of monitoring system is described in details. The main functions of system include: user authentication, user identity management, network asset management, network equipment configuration tool, network equipment information collection, report; finally tests the monitoring system, gives the performance evaluation, and prospects the next work of the research and development.
