A Study On The Consumption Structure Of Rural Residents In Jiangxi Province

Nowadays, the global economic growth rate has slowed down,Investment and export contribution to economic growth has gradually weakened,consumption has become the main driving force of economic growth.Along with China’s economic development has entered a new normal,the engine of economic growth is shifting to a new growth source from the traditional source,coupled with China is in transition period from subsistence to a well-off society,domestic consumption has a great potential.Jiangxi’s 12 th Five-Year Plan point out that to expand domestic demand as the guidance, to enhance consumption capacity, release the consuming potential, in order to provoke economic developmen of Jiangxi province.In the current period, the focus of expanding domestic demand is to enhance the residents’ consumption level,Jiangxi province is a large agricultural province.the consumption of rural residents in Jiangxi province has a huge consumption potential,it is the reserve army.with the development of economic and improvement of people’s income, the consumption expenditure of rural residents in Jiangxi province has increaseed year by year, the consumption structure has aslo been constantly optimized and upgraded,but there are also many problems.Therefore, how to continue to improve the consumption level of rural residents, optimize the consumption structure of rural residents of Jiangxi province, that play an important role to stimulate the economic growth.This paper is analysised on the basis of the current situation of rural residents’ consumption and reference the statistical yearbook of Jiangxi Province, the selected data is from 2004 to 2013 consumption expenditure of rural residents in Jiangxi province.and then,using the Engel coefficient, ELES model analysis method, conducts the research from the consumption types, basic consumption demand, marginal consumption tendency, income elasticity etc.from the analysis, we can acquaintance the consumption structure of rural residents in Jiangxi Province, and found some problems.at last,we can find out countermeasures to the optimization and improvement of Jiangxi rural residents’ consumption Structure.
