In the modern era, the marketing activities of companies are faced with new opportunities and challenges with the rapid development of the Internet, and thus online marketing activities are spewing out. Especially, with the emergence of a new media-social media which relies on the Internet and is used for the accessing to and dissemination of the information provides new opportunities and challenges for the corporate marketing innovation. Compared to other traditional media, social media has a very high degree of transparency, strong interactivity and sociability, because of the presence of these natural attributes, the majority of Internet users users get a new experience and convenience, increasingly the more people are beginning to take the initiative to understand social media and use it to express their views and opinions, start the dissemination and sharing of information to others or to obtain valuable resources, the majority of Internet users have been building networks among thousands of people rapidly and unimaginably.The rapid development of information technology makes social media swept across the world like a hurricane. Twitter, Facebook, QQ space, micro blogging, social networking, blog and other social medias are emerging and plays an increasingly important role. Social media are subtle changes in people’s lifestyles, consumption patterns and aesthetic appeal. Facing the expanding use of social media groups, companies should keep their eyes open, seize new opportunities to see the advantages. Relying on the Internet to carry out social marketing innovation has become the trend of the times, the times there may replace blood, new life, on the contrary, it will be discarded by the times. In China, more and more people are starting to focus on social media and the use of social media for marketing innovation activities.The domestic brand- Millet who uses social media marketing has created one after another sales miracle. This thesis is a theoretical and practical results from a two-pronged approach to summarize social media marketing innovative model, and use the success stories of millet validate them. Finally, a summary and outlook.
