And the building materials industry including the production scale, product variety, production of building materials and the national per capita consumption of all is on the top of the world. We have the potential of technology export and materials export in international project contracting. With the development of the emerging network and communication technology, the international engineering contracting business scope is beyond the conventional concept of engineering construction and installation, which gradually becomes a comprehensive carrier of trade and service trade. The characteristics of international engineering projects which across the frontier of interdisciplinary determines that it is project of highly integrated.As the important supplement to the currency trade in international engineering contracting, numerous engineering companies has taken Barter trade, in order to increase the export of materials, avoid financial risk, the most important way to improve project profit. Modern barter takes the advantage of computer Internet technology to communicate efficiently and fast, using the calculation and settlement system, using the trade credit to record transactions and settlement, so as to break through the limitation of traditional barter time and space, to realize the goal of free equivalent exchange of goods or services without using cash between related enterprises.As an part-time student, through summarizing his working experience in West Africa and North Africa while learning theoretical knowledge, the author starts the research based on the construction project, and using barter operations in international projects as the study object, study and analyze the international contracting market development situation and the problems exists in the international engineering project, also combined with the present situation of the enterprise development and the international project contracting requirements, analyze the feasibility on the construction enterprises market expansion by barter trade, increase project profit and avoid financial risk. In the aspect of international project contracting enterprises adopting barter trade, the author summarized the importance of barter trade in international project through reading analysis, questionnaire investigation and other forms of barter trade in the international engineering projects. In this paper, the importance of using the modern Internet technology are emphasized and suggested to create modern barter trade mode of "Internet + barter trade platform", through the advantage of the Internet technology make up for the traditional barter trade, enlarge the application range of barter trade, and to extend the model to promote to the domestic engineering contracting projects; Recommended to fully study and learning the new era of “Internet + barter trade” mode of operation, through experience learning to cultivate qualified and international project management, promote barter trade in the international engineering used in the development of our country. In the aspect of the use of barter trade in the international project contracting, the author, combing barter trade in the project of the international operation process in detail, with the actual case analysis the advantage of barter trade in the international engineering application through his Togo west Africa on the project work experience(2009-2012), to supply international contractors to expand project contracting market, to avoid financial risk, improve project profitability via modern barter trade for the use of barter trade in the international engineering.
