After years of efforts, China’s central bank announced that no longer controls the deposit interest rate floating ceiling, it means that the interest rate marketization reform has been accomplished. This reform not only became an opportunity of China’s banking industry, but also an inevitable challenge. Especially for small and medium-sized commercial banks, compared with the state-owned banks, their foundation is weak, they have congenital disadvantage, so in this reform waves, how can they deal with the problem has caused the extensive concern. First, based on the analysis of the present situation of our country’s small and medium-sized commercial banks’profit model in current market, generalize and summarize the shortcomings of the existing profit model, including the source of income is too rely on interest income, intermediate business lay particular stress on traditional business, business innovation ability is insufficiency, the customer base is weak, and so on. Then, through the empirical research verify whether the interest rate marketization reform promotes the transformation of bank’s profit model or not, then the empirical 2 is on the basis of the empirical l’s conclusion, analyze interest income and non-interest income’s role in promoting, and get the conclusion:For our country’s small and medium-sized banks, the interest income and non-interest income will both produce promoting, but for now, the interest income perform more obviously. Finally, through two empirical’s conclusion and the summarizes of the problems existing in the current profit model, put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to the transformation of small and medium-sized commercial banks profit model.
