The Impact Of China - South Korea FTA On Korea 's Major Industries And The Countermeasures

In June, 2015, China and South Korea succeeded to get the agreement on FTA. It is very important for China and South Korea. At the same time, South Korea agriculture, electronic and automobile industries all meet many challenges. How South Korea government and firms to overcome these problems is a vital research.Based on the international theory, this paper introduces the background of Chian-South Korea FTA, the aim of establishment and its main context, significance,then introduces the current state, international trade situations and cooperation among South Korea agriculture, electronic and automobile industries. Based on the many facts,the study analyses the influence of FTA on South Korea agriculture, electronic and automobile. In the agriculture area, the price of South Korean agriculture sensitive product will be down. The initiative of farm’s production will also be down and the problem of aging will be serious. In the electronic area, South Korea electronic industry will enlarge the scale of importing Chinese electronic parts and reduce Chinese product because of being afraid of Chinese bad quality, but the scale of South Korea product may be enlarged. In the automobile area, the way of South Korea production supplement will change, and the scale of export to China will also increase laxly and South Korea automobile firms will also meet some challenges from China.At last, the author proposes some advises to promote the development of South Korean main industries, such as strengthen the competitiveness of South Korea agriculture and the ability of exportation, improve the quality of agriculture farmers,enlarge the scale of South Korean electronic product to China, perfect the structure of electronic industry, and strengthen the competitiveness of South Korea automobile firms.
