China and South Korea are neighbors across the sea. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in the year of 1992, their economic relations become increasingly close, and their mutual dependence degree is on the rise. Currently, with the signing of FTA between China and South Korea, the economic communication between two countries enters into an important transitional period, and the trade focus is transferring from labor intensive industry to technology intensive industry.During the process of globalization, new energy industry has rapidly expanded all over the world, which is closely related to the reports and promotion of news media. Under this circumstance, China and South Korea have conducted closer economic communication in the area of new energy, and have achieved the success transition of economy. The role of news media cannot be ignored.This thesis attempts to analyze the current situation and developing tendency of China’s and South Korea’s new energy report, the direct or indirect mutual impacts and relevance between two countries. The specific research methodology is as follows.This thesis adopted the comprehensive method of content analysis and text analysis. The method of content analysis refers to the objective, systematic, and quantitative description of the manifest contents transmitted by mass media. It is a method of data analysis on the collected materials, and aims to analyze the impact of the news content. The content analysis method includes the following steps:Firstly, determine the research subject and raise research issues; Secondly, select samples and analysis units; Thirdly, construct the category; Fourthly, summarize and make statistical analysis of the data, then draw a conclusion. This thesis has collected the important news reports of the representative daily paper, economic paper and energy paper of the two countries, namely, 《People’s Daily)),《21st Century Business Herald)), and 《China Energy News》 of China, and 《Chosun Ilbo》,《Business Daily)), ((Economy of Energy)) of South Korea from 1st, Jan.2014 to 31st, Dec.2015 as the analysis object, and has conducted comparative analysis of the two countries’new energy reports from the aspect of distribution of total quantity, length, theme, and source, in the hope of finding the differences of energy policies and concepts between China and South Korea.This thesis aims to analyze the difference of new energy reports between China and South Korea. Chapter One introduces the research purpose, research significance and research methodology of the thesis. The first section of Chapter Two is the introduction of research status. The second section discusses the relevance between media and new energy industry. The third section is the related analysis on the use of source of news and the bias in the news. The fourth section introduces the theory and methodology adopted in this chapter. Chapter Three is the analysis of text contents and the introduction of analysis result. The first section of Chapter Three is the comparative analysis of representative daily papers of the two countries, the selected samples are China’s ((People’s Daily)) and South Korea’s 《Chosun Ilbo》. The second section is the analysis of representative economic papers of the two countries, namely, China’s 《2st Century Business Herald》 and South Korea’s 《Business Daily)). The third section is the analysis of representative energy papers of the two countries, namely, China’s 《China Energy News》 and South Korea’s 《Economy of Energy)). The last section is the comprehensive analysis of the results, including the analysis of research significance, limitation and the research orientation in the future.The industry of smart power grids is not only the necessary industry of modern life, but also the indispensable industry in the future. The clean air, energy and economic activity essential to our survival are all included in it. The traditional industry does not pay attention to environment protection and blindly chases after economic development, by contrast, the issue concerned now and in the future is developing new energy industry.The previous comparative researches on news reports of China and South Korea is in small amount, not to mention studies on the new energy reports. This thesis represents the development prospect of new energy industry and attempts to find the developing orientations of energy policy in the future, in addition, this thesis also tries to provide improvement strategies for new energy reports.
