A Study On The Regionalization Of RMB In Southeast Asia

The RMB included in the SDR is an important milestone in the internationalization of RMB.It indicates that the Chinese monetary and financial system reform and economic development are accepted, even making the internationalization of the RMB become a hot topic in the researchers. Growth of foreign trade and expansion of chinese economy in recent years, the RMB play a more and more important role in bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation.Especially the establishment of China and ASEAN free trade area and the implementation of “One belt one road”, Chinese influence gradually improves in the world economy,and the process of regionalization and internationalization of the RMB steadily forwards. Southeast Asia is an important economic and trade cooperation zones adjacent to our country, naturally being the first choice of the our country advancing the strategy of RMB regionalization.Actively seeking economic cooperation with all countries in southeast Asia becomes the main direction of promoting RMB internationalization and improving the international influence.Based on research of domestic and foreign scholars on monetary internationalization and regionalization, we find that the study of the internationalization of RMB is mainly from domestic scholars.While research on this question of domestic scholars is standing under the macroscopic background of the world economy or the research framework of Asian economy, less analysis from economic cooperation situation of southeast Asian countries and China. Under the new situation and new background this thesis concludes the economic achievements of the trade and financial cooperation of China and southeast Asian countries.On the basis of the several economic criteria of mondale’s optimal currency area theory,we model, filter data and quantitatively analyze the weak links in the economic trade and financial cooperation of the southeast Asian countries and China. Finally on the basis of predecessors’ study comprehensive analysis and drawing lessons from measures taken and development experience in the process of internationalization of the dollar,Euro, yen,to find effective strategies for promoting the regionalization of RMB insoutheast Asia and explore path suitable for China’s own about accelerating the development of the regionalization of RMB.
