An Investigation Report On The Investment Situation Of Yunnan Enterprises In Cambodia

With the initiation of “Chinese Go-Out Strategy" by China the foreign investment of Yunnan enterprises was shown to have grown progressively as the result. From 2005 to 2013, the amount of investment has grown from 20.72 million dollar to 821.2089 million dollar which increases 39.6 times. Cambodia is a very important investment destination in Sub-regional countries. By the end of the year of 2013, Yunnan enterprise had invested in Cambodia at the amount of 418 million dollar in total, which made up 12.35% of all the investment.The thesis begins with the introduction of the preparation for the investigation report as well as its state of investment, its problems and possible suggestions and opinions on the subject.Cambodia has a good business environment for the investment by Yunnan enterprises due to geographical advantage and cheap labor force, political situation opposite and stable, relaxed regulation, good heritage index, and also enjoy many preferential policies given by the developed countries. Meanwhile, there are some bad reasons for business environment for the investment by Yunnan enterprises due to political rise such as ethnic problems, territory dispute, and America and Japan’s strategy back to Asia. Economic rise such as the risk of inflation, debt solvency and financial system cause that too. Also some enterprise operation rises such as complex administration procedures, administrative intervention and government corruption should be considered. When Yunnan enterprises go to Cambodia for investments, they should consider these matters and chose a right way for them to invent.The problem of Yunnan enterprises’ investment in Cambodia including: lack knowledge of the investment environment, and too weak to against risks, management problems caused by cultural differences, and also the competition in the market.Produce a series of experience for reference and develop a set of feasible countermeasures and suggestions which provide the realistic guidance to Yunnan enterprise. And these countermeasures and suggestions can help Yunnan enterprise expand the Cambodian investment horizons and implementation of Yunnan province and Cambodia a long-term cooperation and a win-win result.
