Study Of Transport Integration In The Yangtze River Delta Region

Along with international economic developing, the integration of regional economics has already become an effective way that each country develops its regional economy and strengthen regional competitiveness. While, in order to realize economic integration, it is a key that the traffic integrates.This paper emphasizes the whole Yangtze Delta (YRD) as the object of research area. The Yangtze Delta is becoming one of the most energetic and prosperous economical areas in the country and all over the world. The forming of its regional economy has an extremely important status and function to promote our economic society development. But in the process of YRD economic integration, the transportation integration is a foundation. So, how to establish the modernization transportation system of YRD has already become the topic which everybody extremely pay attention to.Firstly, this paper analyzes the background of YRD regional transportation development. The whole world economic integration is impelling the YRD economic integration, and the YRD economic integration has expedited the transportation integration. From the experience of regional integrated transportation development at home and overseas, we give some consideration for the strategy of regional integrated transportation development.Secondly, this paper analyzes development status quo of integrated transportation in YRD, and pay more attention to its trait and whole condition. Meanwhile, pointing out the problems of mechanism, policy and benefit distribution in the process.The keystone of this paper is the theoretical analyze of YRD transportation integration. In this part, the paper first gives the concept of regional transportation integration, analyzing the connotation andtrait of regional transportation integration, and the impetus of transportation integration. We here can find its great importance for YRD city construction and regional economic development. In the base, the paper applies some basic theories of regional development for YRD transportation integration, the theories includes Regional Economic Theory, Regional Economic Development Theory, and Regional No equilibrium Development Theory. From the analysis, we can find the great meaning of transportation integration.Lastly, the paper gives some consideration for related problems of YRD transportation. In this part, the paper advances five principles which must be persisted in transportation integration, discusses system mechanism and informational construction for transportation harmonious development, and finally object some suggestion for some focal problems of YRD transportation integration.
