Through over ten years' rapid development, the gross product oftelecommunication industry has become 4.9% of the GDP in China. Theindustry's dependence on the information technologies brings rapid increaseof the investment from telecom operators. Accordingly, a large quantity of SI(System Integration) start-ups companies joined the intensive competition inthe telecommunication industry.System Integration entered into China in the 80th of 20 century. Aftermore than ten years' experiences, it moved to supply software, service, andconsultant gradually.The system integration companies which focus on telecommunicationindustry have become highly aware of the significant changes in the telecomoperator requirements – from the construction base on foundationestablishment at the beginning, to the focus on the operations today –whichleads to more and more intensive competition. How can the SI perform thebusiness transformation successfully, how should the SI adapt to the changingenvironment and create competitive advantages? These are the majorproblems that need to be resolved.This article is researching and analyzing business transformation andoperational innovation of the Telecommunication System Integration (TSI) bymeans of the theory of the strategic managementThe main idea of author is as follows: The first chapter described theTelecommunication Systems Integration and introduced the historicaldevelopment of the TSI industry in brief. In the second chapter, the articleanalyzed the external causes of the business transformation of TSI, includingthe market environment analysis, the competitive analysis, and so on. Then,the Chapter Three identified the way of the business transformation of TSIthrough business process analysis of the value chain. In the fourth chapter, theauthor analyzed and researched the business transformation and operationalinnovation of the TSI from the practical point in detail. Chapter Five studiedthe marketing strategy of TSI basing on the theory of the RelationshipMarketing. Finally, from the research of this article, the author gave someviewpoints about anticipated problems and countermeasures during theprocess of the business transformation of TSI.
