Current Situation And Countermeasures Of China's Pawn Industry

Pawn is a special financing means to loan from pawnshop by mortgagingspecific goods or property right, the essence of which is to get money withgoods. As a special financing means and a marginal business between financeand circulation business, the old-line pawn broking has played a unique role incapital circulation, goods safekeeping and commodity sale. However, pawnbroking doesn't develop smoothly, especially after its renaissance in China,when the great changes of economical and social environment challenge itsexistence and development. By comparing pawn broking in China with which insome developed countries,this article points out the existing problem of pawnbroking in China, then tries to suggest some countermeasures such as improvingpolitical and legal environment, innovating the operating system and buildinghuman resource and so on. On the basis of summing up experience, pushing thedevelopment of pawn broking in China is benefit to improvement of our societyand economy.
