A Study On The Development History, The Present Situation And The Trend Of China’s Pawn Broking

It has been27years since the pawn broking business returned in1987. It actives thedomestic private economy, especially it plays a certain role in meeting the financing needs ofthe small business. The China’s pawn broking abandoning some management methods of thetraditional pawnshop is with the scientific development view, becoming a kind of newfinancial instruments and the financing ways. It is also in-depth in all aspects of the social andeconomic development. However,“Chinese economic situation analytical high-level report”held in Beijing, in December,2013. It put forward that:“at present, the world economy hasentered in a transition period. The economy of our country will suffer a very difficulttime.”We are faced with the pressure of the steady economic and structural contradiction.Therefore, people from different social sectors are calling strongly for that “we should reformto break dilemmas and innovate to develop the economy”. We have to realize that the pawnbroking environment has changed differently. The pawn broking has a long history. It is facedwith comprehensive reforms and innovations, otherwise we will lose it. Firstly, I havereviewed the development history of the pawn broking in our country. Secondly, I emphasizethe fact that the pawn broking of China must be transformed as soon as possible. In thecurrent macro-economic background, I think the innovation reform of the pawn broking inChina should obey the following rules. Firstly, speed up the institution innovation and clearindustry characteristics. Secondly, enhance innovations of the business variety, at the sametime, adhere to the civilian goods characteristics. Thirdly, clear the operation direction:providing services for small enterprises financing. Fourthly, change the way every pawnshopdoes business to ensure the pawn broking business be more professional and detailed. At last,the pawn industry should pay attention to corporate social responsibility. There is no doubtthat the transformation of the pawn broking is an important studying subject.Recently, we have got some achievements in the development of the pawn broking inour country. However, there are still some questions. Uphold the principle of “theory withpractice”、“case-by-case basis”, according to realistic national conditions, we should reformour pawn broking effectively, to contribute to the construction of China’s pawn broking. In thepaper, on the base of studying the related theory of the pawn broking, I have reviewed thehistory of the pawn broking in some countries, especially, in our country. Tell the cause of thepawn broking thriving and decline in these countries. Analyze the current situation of thepawn broking in our country. Hold the view that the current time is important for China’s pawn broking reformations. Put forward several suggestions about the pawn brokingreformation in our country under the present Macroeconomic environment background.
