Tourism Supply Chain (TSC) is a new concept for describing the interrelations between tourism enterprises in tourism economic activity on the basis of microanalysis of the enterprises. This thesis takes TSC as a kind of invisible resource and technical tool which can decrease transaction cost and improve the enterprise performance, through coordinating the quantity, quality, characteristic, hierarchy of products from different enterprises in order to integrate the tourism supply system and meet the complex demands of tourism.TSC is a kind of team production, that is, Tourism product comprises a lot of different ingredients from lots of enterprises. This fact leads to the importance of coordination between these enterprises. Therefore, it is impossible for one seperate enterprise to meet the needs of tourists, which depends on the coordination among these enterprises. Thus, TSC becomes an important tool for both regional tourism and enterprises to develop. Enterprise is a basic element of TSC, in which travel agency takes a particularly important role, because of the fact that it directly faces the tourist and the theory of Supply chain that core enterprise is moving to the consumer. So through analyzing and studying the behavior of travel agency in TSC, the study tries to find the characteristics, rules, ways to solve problems and optimizing mechanism of TSC in the transforming period of China.Five sections are included in this thesis, as following:In the first section four parts are reviewed:⑴research orientition,⑵progress study,⑶significance of study in this field,and⑷methods of study and technical approach of this study. After giving a comprehensive review on the present progress of the domestic and abroad study, the thesis suggests that TSC must be studied in tourism development, and explains some basic concepts in TSC study. After these, the significance of the study and the technical approach are proposed.The aim of the second section is building TSC concept series. In this section, the basic supply chain theories are first summarized, which originate from economic theories about interrelations among enterprises. And subcequently, the most important four tasks of this section, the inner operation mechanism, concept system, Principle-Agent relation and characteristics of TSC are analyzed.The applied experiences of TSC system in Europe are mainly introduced in the third section. Up to now, there have been little experiences and studies on TSC Management in China. Contrastly, European Tour Operators have more Experiences on TSC Management than ours, their experiences focus on:⑴how tour operators to develop a coherent policy to improve the economic, environmental and social sustainable development of suppliers,⑵integrate this policy...
