The members of ASEAN are Chinese friendly neighbor. They have a long time history friendly intercourse each other. With the development of the Chinese economy. There are more and more cooperation in economy, trade, technology and culture etc. between China and the members of ASEAN. From nineties of 20th century, the two parties strengthen economic and trade cooperation. The volume of trade between China and ASEAN has been upward of 100000million USD, ASEAN become one important partner in economic and trade's field. With the rapidly development of mutual trade between ASEAN and China, optimization of the economic structure, both parties' trade structure has been changed, The both parties shift from Inter-industry trade of natural resources to intra-industry trade of manufactured goods.This paper regards trade of the industry among China and ASEAN as the research object, the research approach that use and determine the nature and the ration combine together, based on relevant theories of intra-industry, utilize the intra-industry trade index, analyze the characteristic of trade in the intra-industry among China and ASEAN, provide the reason of trade in the industry among China and ASEAN, have put forward the countermeasure of intra-industry trade among China and ASEAN developing.The paper falls into five sections as follows:(l) First of all, it explains what is the intra-industry trade. Next, introduces how to classified the intra-industry trade and present the analysis tool of the intra-industry trade (The intra-industry trade's index T). Finally, comments the exist theory of the intra-industry trade.(ll) analyses mutual trade between China and ASEAN, simply review the history and the actual state of mutual trade between China and ASEAN, From the date of mutual trade and commodity structure, we can reach a conclusion mutual trade between China and ASEAN has a trend from Inter-industry trade to intra-industry trade. (Ill) Analyze the actual state of intra-industry trade between China and ASEAN, using the intra-industry trade index, point out that the major commodity of intra-industry trade between China and ASEAN are manufactured goods.(IV)using the theory ofintra-industry trade, analyses why do intra-industry trade happen between China and ASEAN.(V)provide some advices that how to improve the trade of intra-industry between China and ASEAN. (VI) Give a summary of the whole paper.
