With a new millennium coming, the economy of China has been in a new era, in which China must adopt its economic structure. The gross economic quantity in China has made a great progress, but that is not to say, the economic quality had also made a great progress. In fact, many industries in China just develop themselves in the low level and the economic development in China is not in balance.This paper is about garment industry, especially about how the garment companies develop themselves in the new condition. Different companies have different strategies to develop. Some tend to offer deep garment-manufacturing service; other tend to cultivate their own bands. In the new year of 2005, all garment companies will face more and more challenges as well as opportunities. In the home and abroad markets, competition will become stronger and stronger. Only the companies with the ability of well operating invisible assets, such as designing and marketing, can survive in the strong competition. But in China, most garment companies lack such good ability and are used to sell their products in the lower and lower prices.Because of limit work experience and lack of personal knowledge, the paper involves around the topic of children garment band and the content is mainly related to the company's reality, where the author worked. The market of children garment is viewed as another potential market as well as adult garment, especially in China, for China has millions of children. Now there are many famous companies in China market, such as McDonald and Wahaha. The famous companies mainly develop markets in the big cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai. And also there are many local companies, which devote themselves in the local market. The company written about in the paper is also manufacturing children garment with its own band and the company also offer OEM for other companies, such as foreign company and international trade companies. The paper mainly analyses the weakness, strength, challenge andopportunity. Finally, the paper talks about the company's strategy of children garment band.In the process of analysis, the author uses the traditional method: SWOT, TOWS and industrial analysis.
