Loess Plateau is the origin of Chinese civilization. Because people develop and use land in plunder way, it has degraded into a barren and fragile plateau with dense broken hills and gullies. Severe soil and water erosion as well as environmental degradation are hindering the sustainable development of economy and society in Loess Plateau and in the area of the middle and lower reaches of Yellow River. The paper study Ansai county as the background because the county is very representative in Loess Plateau. The general consideration for this study is to explore the basic category for land resource of sustainable use, establish a theoretical foundation for proving study and policy undergoing. Directed by the theoretical system, a survey was made on the natural, social and economic conditions of the land resources, to reveal the existing problems and sequence. Bring forward the future sustainable new project. The paper' s research content is as follows:At first. The paper generalized the character of the resources of the county land and make use of the present condition. Next, according to the above-mentioned existing problem and consequence in land use in Ansai county: (1) The antinomy between population and land is increasingly sharp: The trend of land reduced is hard to suppress; Per capital land area has been decreased increasingly. (2) Unreasonable constitution for land use: It is absurd structure in planting in unfit land; Have no better is proper because of the ground system and plant structure absurdity; The residents keep on the growth with the ground, the construction is placed in a low level; The phenomenon that forestry land takes up a great deal of the basic farmland; Land use in crud; land deteriorates seriously and ecological environment is getting worse. The reason of created problem is analyzed as below: (1) The antinomy between population and land is difficult to relax. (2) The sustainable system .At last, Put forward the speculation of solving the problem on the basis of the above-mentioned problem in using land resource: (1) The key link for sustainable land use in Ansai county is to realize moderating the relation between population and land .
