So the competition in the market is becoming more and more intense. Most of feed mills are short of full production. As china joined to the WTO, they have to be confronted with the fact that overseas feed giants will compete with them on the advantages of capital and technology. How to survive and develop in the intense competition, how to obtain and keep the long-term superiority, and how to build the core competence of corporation is a imperative strategic problem that all feed mills have to face withThe paper dissertate systematically the core competence theory, introduces some representative idea about the core competence then discuss its characteristic and composing factors .According to the core competence theory, Firstly I analyze the feed industry value chain and the TRS Group's value chain and draw a conclusion: the culturist's breeding benefits and channel member's benefit for which the feed mill provide is the main source of the sustainable competitive edge. The capacity to research and develop, the capacity to market is TRS Group's advantage which is essential in provide for customers' value.
