PMI Index System has been widely used all over the world. More than twenty countries including the eight developed industrial countries have adopted the PMI indexes system successively. Among these Index Systems, ISM manufacturing PMI and Chicago PMI are the most famous two indexes. In July 2005, China National Stat. Department released Chinese CFLP PMI cooperating with Chinese Logistics and Procurement United Association. Then at the end of August, CFLP PMI was officially released. This research was just done on such background.To adopt PMI Indexes System in Hangzhou district, following jobs have been done. First, conclusion of PMI indexes system's foundational theoris through reading considerable relative literature, including origin, advantage, disadvantage and usage of PMI Indexes System, and introduction on application of Indexes System overworld and in China. Secondly, explanation on how to calculate Indexes System, including sample selection, questionnaire design, fill out and reclaim of questionnaires, DI calculation, PMI calculation and test report compilation. Thirdly, investigation of corporation managers' decision-making information by questionnaires, discussion on the necessiy of building up PMI indexes system, and using AHP method to weight every information index so as to compiling PMI questionnaire of Hangzhou district. Finally, five constructive proposals have been advised on how to adopt PMI indexes system in Hangzhou district successfully through learning from other successful systems.At the end of the paper, we made an conclusion on this research, analyzed the existing deficiencies and gave four proposals on succeeding researches.
