Since the economic reform started, although rural residents' income has gained great increase in China , its growth begin to have significant drop in recent years. So the problems about rural residents' income become very important. These problems mainly include two aspects. On the one hand, income inequality between rural residents and city residents continuously extends .On the other hand, income inequality among rural residents also continuously extends. The former researchs are mainly about the first aspect, and the researchs about the second aspect are not many. Especially, the papers about the variety trend of rural residents' income inequality along with time are much less. The classic economics theorys analyze income distribution problems from the angle of the main factors. According to it, the author thinks that two reasons cause residents' income inequality. Firstly, income of region will influence on individuals' income in this region. Secondly, what resources individuals master will influence on their income. From philosophy's point of view, we know that interaction between internal reasons and external reasons decides the development of things. In this paper, income inequality among regions is external reason of income inequality among individuals, and what resources individuals hold is internal reason. On the base of these analysis, the author firstly analyzes the variety trend of rural residents' income inequality among different counties in ZheJiang from 1984 to 2004. Secondly, the author analyze the variety trend of rural households' income inequality from 1986 to 2003. At last, the author gets the factors of causing variety trend and these factors contribution rate for inequality. This paper includes four parts. The first part analyzes the research background and the research meanings, and explicits the research purposes and contents, then builds up the research frame. In second part, the author analyzes the historical variety process of rural residents' income in ZheJiang from 1981 to 2004.In third part, the author analyzes the variety trend of income inequality among regions and different factors contribution rates for total inequality. The forth part analyzes the variety trend of rural households' income inequality and different factors' contribution rate for total inequality. After analyzes the history variety process of the rural residents'income, the author indicates it could be divided four different history phases. Every phase has different characteristic. In third part, the author firstly analyzes the variety trend of regional income inequality, and uses β convergence model to prove this trend. Secondly, the author decomposes income inequality among regions and income inequality change among regions. The result indicates the contribution rate of inequality among differentincome level regions is higher than the contribution rate of inequality among same income level regions. Thirdly, Last GDP and rate of government expenditure accounting for GDP are two main reasons causing inequality. At the same time, the contribution rate of regional last GDP is biggest, and appears the degressive variety trend. The contribution rate of government expenditure is smaller, and appears the ascending variety trend. In forth part, the author firstly analyzes the variety trend of income inequality of rural households. Secondly, through the decomposition of income inequality of rural households and the decomposition of income inequality change of rural households, the author discovers that the contribution rate of income inequality of different income level households is higher than the contribution rate of income inequality of same income level households. Thirdly, the household's inputs for production, the number of rural population in household and the number of people engaging in management in household are three main factors causing inequality. At the same time, the contribution rate of the number of people engaging in management in household is biggest, and the contribution rate of the number of rural population in household is smallest. The contribution rate of them all appears the ascending variety trend.
