Recently, creative industries, culture industries and copyright industries are often seen in the medias. Many researchers also expressed their opinions and ideas about them. Globally, especially some advanced countries are undertaking the transformation from manufacturing economy to information economy. In this transformation, creative is found as important resource of the development of economy, which include culture arts (for example: perform arts and visual arts), design (for example: apparel design, advertising design, building design and software design), media (for example: book publishing) and etc. So since last century 90's, many countries started to make the strategy and policy of the development of culture and creative in the next century. It can be seen that creative industry will become one of the dominant industries. But it also can be seen that the comprehension of the definition of this industry in different countries and areas is quite different. There are many research of creative industries, culture industries, copyright industries in these years. Many countries and areas concentrate on the contribution to economy or the employment structure of the creative industries. But there are no uniform standard and analytical tools in the world. From the statistics, creative industries are different from traditional industries. So some of them can not be distinguished from traditional industries.In this paper, we start from the definitions for the creative industries of the countries and areas, then generalize the recent research of the creative industries. Although there is no uniform definition of the creative industries, the protection of intellectual property and ability to create economic value and opportunities of employment are acknowledged as the properties of the creative industries.
