Empirical Research On Economic Growth Of Liaoning Province, The Economic Structure Changes

The traditional industrial base in the Northeast of China ever contributed much to our country's economic development but in the process of economic structure transition and market economy development it is facing numerous problems among which the upgrading and optimization of the economic structure is the most challenging. How to revitalize the old northeastern industrial base is not only concerned with the economic development and social stability in the Northeast but also concerned with the overall strategy of the economic development and structural adjustment of the whole nation and even with the national security and the international strategy. Liaoning Province, the most important old industrial base in the Northeast, can best reflect the "northeast phenomenon"; therefore, the revitalization of its industrial base will set a good example for the old industrial bases in both the northeast area and the whole nation.Based on the theories of economic structure and economic growth, the paper comprehensively adopts the knowledge in regional economics, industrial economics, econometrics and institutional economics to analyze the economic structure evolvement in Liaoning Province and its effect on the speed of the economic development. The effect model is represented through Cobb-Douglass production function to show the effect means and effect coefficient. Based on the above analysis and the economic structure theories and the real economic development situation in Liaoning Province, a series of policies are suggested in relation to the upgrading and optimization of the economic structure in the old northeastern industrial base.The whole paper consists of four parts:Part one, which is the first chapter, explains the importance and necessity of the economic structure evolvement in Liaoning province through the analysis of the problems in the structures of economic growth.
