Insurance Companies, The Integration Of Risk Management

At present, environment of insurance companies changed: (1) market environment, competition leads to reduction of operation margin;(2)legal environment, insurance regulator pay more attention to risk management of insurance companies, including internal control, corporation governance and so on;(3)There are some new risk;(4)Interaction between insurance market and capital market increase;(5)Cross-business operation outlook become more obvious, the utility of traditional risk management discount. At present, most insurance companies use risk management model based on departments or operation process, every department manages their risk individually; pay less attention to the relation between risk units, which leads to the insufficient or excess of risk management, then increase of loss or waste of resources. Basing on the defects of insurance companies' risk management and the latest trend of RM abroad, the writer tries to introduce "integrated risk management" concept to RM research at home , construct IRM (integrated risk management) model from the visual angle of corporation value.The thesis include three parts: The fist,(1)about "what is integrated risk management;(2)about "why we should integrate different kinds of risk", and introduce the concept of IRM;(3)The background in which IRM generate and development.
