Business Process Reengineering And Then Discussed

Born in the 1990s in America, Business Process Reengineering(BPR) is one of the advanced management theory in the world ,it has the ability of improving the corporation's management to a high level in a short time, thus owing a practical value for Chinese companies. Through the detailed analysis of the Business Process Reengineenng in two typicai companies:Acre and Kodak,especially the main defect of lacking the guiding conduct of the BPR theory ,this thesis tries to expound the Business Process Reengineering in a integrated way on the basis of the practical use of the theory ,with the mainstream of a deep study on this theory, the specific ways of implementation and also the key problems thus arised. Meantime,this thesis is also integrated with my own managerial experience and the references from other related theories.This thesis is made of five parts. The first part is the introduction of the Business Process Reengineering and its background. The second part lies in the two ways of implementation of this theory, the first one is the "new design method"which throws away all the implied hypotheses while reconsidering the company's operational method,and the second one is "tracing reforming method" i.e. design the new process on the basis of the existed one. The third part makes use of two typical cases to elaborate the applications and developments of the BPR theory in the practical situation.and the fourth part focuses on the inspirations drawn from the cases,i.e.in order to assure the success of the BPR theory, some problems should be concerned and the importance of the use of information technology in the BPR theory is also needed to be paid attention to ,The fifth part comes to the conclusion, The use of the BPR will result in the reconstruction of the company, thus infusing the company with the new vein,Therefore, it is full time for Chinese company to put the BPR theory into practice under the opportunities and challenges.
