Steel industry is facing production capacity surplus the problem of overproduction . Data shows that steel output from January to August, this year has increased 31.87% compared with that of last year. Meanwhile, the government's macro regulation policies are putting restraint on iron demand. There is much to do for steel and iron plant of GuiZhou province to survive from such a competitive environment.This article aims at planning marketing strategy and tactics from point views on both general iron resource condition and single iron melting plant, through analysis on iron resource condition and both inner and outer environment . It is -advisable for each enterprise to set target market according to self condition and that of opponent, to make variety of product to avoid structural aviation between supply and demand while some other more profitable iron products have no way out.Generally speaking, big iron melting plants may choose several target markets while small one is not suitable to do so. This article proposes pointed marketing strategy for GuiZhou iron melting enterprises, and advocates to strongly develop casting industry out of strategically consideration. Especially cost superiority strategy should be carried out through out the whole process , in contrast to other products. Iron products are more inclined to homogeneity, thus making cast the decisive factor.
