A traditionally manufacturing industry as automobile, its competitive in R&D and the completeness in its industry chain have been a knockout in the whole economic systems. The main character of automobile industry which is constituted by accessory and the labor collaboration of production line is based on its specialization, and the promotion of the division of labor will speed up the development of the whole industry.This thesis applies Yan Xiaokai's new classical division of labor theory, which is based on the specialization and transaction cost to analyze functions of labor division in automobile industry. Firstly, there is a brief introduction on the development of new classical theory of division of labor, followed by analysis on its application in industry system we draw a conclusions that the promotion of speciation and transaction will speed up the evolution of the labor division system, of which will lead a feedback function. By studying the experience of the development of automobile industry in developed country, we apply the new classical theory of division of labor to analysis the development characteristics and trends to Automobile industry in our country. By 20 years development of automobile, the scale and turnout have been increasing dramatically but from the view of labor division theory; there are still many structure problems to hold on its evolutionAt the end of the thesis, we focus on the development mode of China's automobile industry which decided by the labor division. Through the fitness of the efficiency in specifying and enforcing property rights, the market will have a more effective capacity to allocate recourses, and finally will promote the progress of economic development.
