The auto parts industry was one of Changzhou period of the tenth 5-year plan prioritize pillar industries "the project machinery, the vehicles and the fitting manufacturing industry" important constituent. Since China has been WTO entry, the world automobile part industry is experiencing the profound change, the components company's status is strengthening unceasingly, the auto parts market competition is more and more intense. The science formulation suits the Changzhou actual auto parts industry competition strategy to have the extremely important practical significance.The thesis firstly started to analyze the external environment of the auto part industry in Changzhou from the aspects of foreign auto part industry development trend, macro economic environment, state industry policies, domestic auto part industry development status, effect of the accession to WTO, market and domestic auto part industry development trend. Secondly, the internal environment, including geographic environment, layout systems, research & development, scale, and relationships between assembling and part enterprises, was also analyzed. Then, through the SWOT analysis method, proposed the Changzhou auto parts industry competition strategy. The expectation is, through concerning strategies including system renovation, specialized division and scaled economy, etc., to provide some help to the industry and product structure adjustment, increase the core competence and establish a stable foundation for the auto part industry development in Changzhou.
