Gaining The National Competitive Advantage Of Chinese Auto Industry Under The Framework Of WTO

The article is mainly made up of three chapters. The first chapter looks back to the development of the theories of international competitiveness of industries, refers to that the traditional theories of international competitiveness of industries are the barriers to Chinese native auto industry, analyzes the enlightenment and the limitations of the new theories of international competitiveness of industries and emphasizes that the development strategy of Chinese auto industry should be based on the theory of competitive advantage of nations of Mechael Porter and that we must gain national competitive advantage of Chinese auto industry in order to face the challenge from overseas. The second chapter analyzes the structure of the diamond system of Chinese auto industry, refers to that it has some advantages of its own, such as cheap labor, abundant capital supply, perfect advanced basic appliances of information, rapidly-growing domestic demand scale, more and more perfect domestic demand quality and so on; but it also has many obvious even severe disadvantages, such as lower input of advanced manpower capital, undeveloped related and supportive industries, imperfect corporate governance structure, insufficient competition among the same enterprises, conservative strategy of enterprises and so on. The third chapter thinks that we are able to gain national competitive advantage of Chinese auto industry by means of optimizing the advanced production factors of auto industry, perfecting domestic conditions of demand for autos, energetically developing the related and supportive industries of auto industry,strengthening the competition among auto industry enterprises and perfecting the corporate governance structure of auto industry enterprises.
