The competitive environments of the firms have been changing dramatically since 21st Century, and the surges of globalization and technology revolution force lots of firms to reposition their strategies and carry on strategic change activities purposely. Strategies, which harmonize adaptive relationship between firms and environments, will promote request to transform or change former strategies when environments of firms change. As time goes by, strategic change should adapt new climate and unpredictable future incidents, realize established objectives and maintain competitive advantage. So firms should have some basic competence to make sure that they can make right choice and effective measures when confronted with unpredictable incidents. The core market competition depends on is firms'core competence, which is the most important footstone of strategic change.The main research work in this dissertation is the dynamic relationship between strategic change and core competence under the complex environment, which is that core competence could determine as well as direct strategic change, and meanwhile strategic change could help form as well as strengthen core competence. Firm life cycle based on core competence is built to research the characteristics of each stage in firm life cycle. Through the relationship between strategic change and core competence, dynamic growing model is built among strategic change, core competence and firm life cycle in order to recognize the rules of core competence turnaround rules through the research of firms'strategic changes, help firms to design and implement successful strategic changes, strengthen their core competnce and adaptive ability to changing environment.
