Enterprises are open system which interact with the environment in the long-term operation. The survival and continual development of the enterprise depend on whether it could acclimatize itself to the change of the environment. In a market with intense competition, enterprise must focus on its own core competence, and build its unique competition strength by expanding its core business, core technology and core products, to achieve success. Strategic layout and strategic management are the platform for all managerial work. Firm strategy is a strong weapon to achieve those vision.The thesis starts from systematic summarizing and reviewing strategy theories. Based on these strategy theories and tools, it gave some research and probing into dynamic strategy making, outlay and modulation. With theories as weapons, it integrate environment analysis, firm competence analysis, firm resources analysis, SWOT analysis, firm risk analysis, life circle analysis, firm strategy orientation, identifying and cultivating of core competence, which form a set of firm strategy analysis and adjusting system.On the base of theories summarizing, we select a corporation from pharmaceutical industry to do some case analysis. With a long-run surveying and investigation, we collected and coordinated a lot of data. Then this thesis use some strategy tools such as SWOT analysis, BCG matrix analysis, risk analysis, environment analysis etc. to point out firm strength and weakness, the environment it encounter as well. Ely the analysis, this thesis gave a strategy orientation, future strategy modulation and specific strategy measures for the corporation in this case.As the market grows open and the competition becomes intense, a firm must identify and build its own core competence in the dynamic form, by which to achieve long-term strategy predominance in the knowledge-intense pharmaceutical industry which has the characteristic of advance technology, high risk, high input and profitable return. These depend on a way of adjusting organization structure, changing governance mechanism, cultivating corporation culture, reengineering value chain.
