Huangling County Geological Hazard Evaluation,

Huangling County Department of Yan'an City, Shaanxi, where is located in northwest inland and belongs to the Loess Plateau region. In recent years, with economic development, because of a series of human activity, there are lots of geological disasters, such as landslides, collapse and mudflows, etc.Which has caused a serious threat to the life and property safety of people in these areas, and brought an impact to the economic development of these areas.Relying on the detailed investigation of geological hazard project in Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, through field survey and related geo-hazard data collection, according to geological environmental conditions, and geological hazards characteristics, combined with the geo-hazards point density, the degree of risk and a range of threats to the quantitative evaluation and qualitative analysis method, select the disaster site density, slope indicators, indicators of high slope, slope-type index, type of rock group index, vegetation index, engineering activities impact indicators, precipitation index, the geo-hazard risk evaluation index system is established. Using the overlay and statistical function of GIS, The geo-hazard risk zonation is carried out. It is classified as three levels:high risk areas,middle-risk areas and low-risk areas.The area of the high-risk is 168.49km2, accounted for 7.36%of the total area of the Huangling county; The area of the middle-risk is about 788.01km2, accounted for 34.44%; The area of the low-risk area is about 1331.5km2, accounting for 58.19%. And on this basis risk evaluation result, geo-hazard prevention and control planning is putfard. Key control areas, sub-key control areas and the general control areas are determined,and provide the basic planning and thinking for geo-hazard control of the county zoning, special focus on the areas identified, sub-key control areas and the general control areas, geological disaster prevention for the county to provide a basis planning and thinking for the geo-hazard prevention and control in Huangling County.
