With the constant improvement of its functional modules, and the technology has become more sophisticated, it has been widely used in various fields.Because the Low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle system is flexible, efficient and fast, precise and accurate, low cost and can quickly access high-resolution images in small and difficult areas, Made it have a huge advantage in improving the current trend of mapping results and enhancing the services of mapping capabilities protect emergency, etc. DPGrid is a new generation of high performance aerospace digital photogrammetric processing platform that developed by Remote Sensing Information Engineering of Wuhan University, It fully apply the technology of digital image matching, high-performance parallel computing, mass storage and network communications and so on,which are the advanced technologies so far. Implementation of automaticly fast processing aerospace remote sensing data and quickly accessing spatial information. Its performance is much higher than the current digital photogrammetric workstation.This paper reviews the development background of unmanned aerial vehicle systems, introduced the research results of UAV systems at home and abroad, and the composition and quality requirements for aerial vehicle photography. Described some important theoretical in photogrammetry, such as the collinearity equation, stereopair relative orientation, aerotriangulation, block adjustment and so on, which are involved in DPGrid software. Summarized the project management, distortion correction, image pre-processing, and aerotriangulation, adjustment, image light and color uniform, the operations of DEM and DOM production and editing and its processing skills that in DPGrid software. And analysis its application in earthquake, landslides and other emergency mapping support, as well as in the application of the "Xing Di Mu Bian",large-scale topographic map updating, that combining the actual examples.
