Based on the research of high-speed NC system, this paper argues that the quality of interpolation operation on high-speed NC system directly affect the efficiency and quality about the whole high-speed machining. Meanwhile, comparing with the present common interpolation controller and its latest developments, this article put forward an interpolator based on PCI bus and FPGA as the controller chip. That can be applied in practical project of motion control.Firstly, completed the design of DDA fine interpolation, double data buffer modules based on internal FPGA, etc. And put forward some optimization methods, simulated and validated all fine interpolation algorithm modules.Meanwhile based on FPGA fine interpolation module engineering practical attempt,this paper has designed interpolation controller as PCI for bus, and done reasonable planning of the overall scheme.Then,finished the hardware diagram design, manufacture and test of fine interpolation controller board. And then complete communication program of the PC and fine interpolation controller,also designed a CNC interpolation interface of PC.Finally, by using TDS2024B storage type oscilloscope, tested the output of interpolation controller, in view of this, completed interpolation pulse data acquisition of interpolation controller real output. Through data analysis and summary, systems have been expected to reach the target and requirement.
