The rubber mixing mill always has a high share in the rubber production line, especially in the rubber production and processing enterprises in China, for its stability of the mixing quality, ease of controlling the technique, wide range of flexibility in production, low price and simple construction. The rubber mixing mill changes the character of the rubber to achieve the purpose of mixing by squeezing and shearing the rubber constantly with the rolls. The distance of the two rolls, which is very important in mixing, influences the effect of the mixing and the quality of the product.The application of the hydraulic distance-adjusting technology in rubber mixing mill has improved the standard of distance-adjusting in rubber mixing mill greatly. The application makes it easier to adjust the distance of the two rolls and also makes the position of the two rolls more accurate. Compared to the manual distance-adjusting and the electronic distance-adjusting, the hydraulic distance-adjusting is less in the amount of labor, more accurate in accuracy. What's more, the improvement in the security for the equipment and operating workers, secures the continuity of the production process and the safety of the workers to a great extent. However, it still remains many problems to be researched and solved. The accuracy of the distance-adjusting is still not enough, the safety margin is small, the cost of manufacturing is expensive. According to the characteristics of the device of distance-adjusting in rubber mixing mill, the demands for the function and the safety standard in home and abroad, the paper made further design and optimization for the system of hydraulic distance-adjusting. Major works the author has done are showed in the following:1. The paper made a comparison of various existing distance-adjusting system and pointed out the disadvantages and advantages of each system, Specific the requirements for system designing and function.2. A hydraulic pitch system with dual oil source has been designed for rubber mixing mill, which can automatically open roll in the unexpected shutdown case and maintain the clearance in the normal shutdown case, improve the system security and reliability.3. The mathematical model of the system has been established by using bond graph approach and made the dynamic simulation on its characteristics. The high pitch accuracy and security performance of the system has been proved by the simulation results.4. Build the experimental platform. The paper proved the correctness and feasibility of the theory of the hydraulic distance-adjusting system by experiments.
