Research And Application On Adjusting Devices Of Plates Clearance Of Disc Refiner

Disc refiners are used in refining and beating widely now. At present, large and high degree of automation disc refiners in our country rely mainly on imports. The adjusting mechanism of a disc refiner is an important part, having the fuctions of adjusting the plates clearance and maintaining the pressure during the refining process. To accommodate the research and design of the large disc refiners, the research of the new style adjusting devices of disc refiners is very necessary.The paper firstly describes the development, type, structure and principle of refining of disc refiners and analysing the problems existing in the research, the study missions and significances of the task have been explained on the basis of above.Then introduces the influences of to the refining and beating quality and grinding life and recommends the general methods of adjusting the plates clearance, the mechanical and hydraulic adjustments, and the locations of the adjusting mechanism, analyzing the characteristics and the range of application of these adjusting methods.Next, studys the structural design calculations of the mechanical adjustment mechanism to determine the mumbers of teeth, the transmission ratio and the other parameters, the using of Solidworks software for worm-and-gear3D modeling and ANSYS Workbench software to analyse and the main components of the main hydraulic adjustment mechanism(such as hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic pump)are designed and calculated, determining the main parameters of the various components.Finally introduces the sealing devices of the disc refiners spindle related to the mechanism of adjusting the plates clearance of disc refiners, the three typical sealing methods including the packing seal, mechanical seal and sealing combination, and the range of application of the various sealing ways in disc refiner are discussed and analyzed.This paper deeply studys the plates clearance adjusting mechanism, determining the parameters of the mechanical and hydraulic adjustment mechanism of the large disc refiners. The work is much of importance to the study and design on the large disc refiners, and it has some application value to the design of the mechanism of adjusting the plates clearance.
