The Production Process Automation is a comprehensive and technical subject. It integratedly utilizes the subject of automatic control instrument and the theory of computer to serve for the chemical engineering subject. This is the goal of our study. This article starts from chemical production, combined with the production process of Diketene which is produced by Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It also makes explorations for the use and improvement on automatic process control system in the production.This article mentions that how to perfect and optimize the automatic process control system in the production of Deketene. Make stable and efficient inspection, control and alarm chain of the automatic process. Improve the product quality and the safety of production.We analysed the development level of automatic process control system and studied the production process of Diketene in detail. We found out many problems in the aspects of quality control, safety and environmental protection,energy saving and system reform which occur in the automatic process control system during the production process of Diketene. We studied the problems one by one and designed the corresponding improvement plans. These plans have been implemented.(1) The anti-interference measures inspected by process control system use the techniques of shielding, isolation, grounding in order to eliminate the interference and ensure stable change on the current and temperature values of the cracking furnace.(2) Use the technology of automatic control and design the flow control & automatic control for the safety tank level of Triethyl phosphate. It improved the product quality and the safety performance of process production,reduced the labor intensity of operators. (3) Security alarm and chain applications. Design the alarm plan for the twenty seven important parameters of the workshop. Set the alarm information and the lights. The monitoring of pump condition is also designed. The voice prompt is accompanied by Pump opening and closing. This is convenient for finding the faults in time.(4) The implementation of energy saving measures. The electric energy is consumed at maximum during the process production of Diketene. Monitor the energy consumption reasonably and treat timely when find abnormal energy consumption.(5) On-line design and equipment production for wasterwater emission index.Designed the inspecting plan according to the requirement of process.It release and monitor on-line mainly for the PH and conductivityof wastewater. The theory is that control the collection, sampling, testing, emmsions, retention samples, cleaning. The inspected data can be recorded, inquired and alarmed. It supplys the convenience for the workshop to monitor wastewater emission and ensure the normal production.(6) System optimization and improvement. Make partially the hardware update and software configuration adjustment for the process control system. Especially for the system redundancy, Make three upper monitor as main station. Modify for preparation with the same function. Communicaton with industrial Ethernet technology. It is speedy with high ability and reliability.The operation result shows that the system has these advantages such as security and stability. After the system were put into operation,it improved the product quality of Diketene and automation of production process,greatly reduced the labor intensity,perfected the on-line concentration monitoring for production process. It created the remarkable economic and social benefits in quality, safely, environmental protection and energy saving etc.
